WaterTipper
New Product (patent pending) to water and feed hanging baskets - available now made in Ireland
Millions of hanging baskets are sold each year, but even with a hose they are difficult to water. Our new method (patent applied for) enables e.g. a grandmother to easily pour 2.1 litres (0.55 gal US). There's a cap for feeding or fine watering (when the basket is dry) and a faster cap for normal flow.
We are looking for manufacturing licencees, who might be blow molders or gardening distributors. WaterTipper is a blow-molded container with a perforated screw cap mounted on a handle. When you rotate the handle. the centre of gravity shifts, the container points downwards and starts to pour. This invention has only 4 parts - bottle, cap, handle and a mounting pin!

Benefits
The alternative to our WaterTipper is usually hose-based. Advantages over hose-based include:
- Hosepipe ban applied in many areas many summers
- Uses far less water than a hose so less water cost
- Many baskets are outside far from the kitchen tap: it is a lot of trouble to unroll, connect, disconnect and re-roll even a neat hose.
- Leaving hose connected trailing through rooms and doorways may be an H&S hazard, particularly for elderly people
- Modern kitchen taps have square profiled mixer taps, difficult to connect a hose to without purchasing a special fitting.
- You can easily over-water with a hose. While under-watering is the biggest problem normally, a hose reverses this into over-watering.
- After the first month, over-watering by hose leaves the compost depleted.
- For the best 'show' you need to add tomato feed/ fertilizer. This is easy with the WaterTipper, but difficult with a hose
- WaterTipper's superiority in feeding is increased by providing a normal and a feeding nozzle, of different colours
- Feed sales are more important in gardening than sales of almost any hardware item - WaterTipper can help boost feed sales
- WaterTipper lends itself to promotional sales: e.g. by use of measures marked on the bottle for particular feeds.

- WaterTipper can enable you to water window boxes at first-floor level also
